RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY

(South African CPA & ECTA Compliant)

1. Overview

TrevorSphere complies fully with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA).
This policy applies to physical products, digital products, services, subscriptions, and online courses.


2. Physical Products (e.g. merchandise)

2.1 Return Window

Physical items may be returned within 7 calendar days of delivery if:

  • unused

  • in original packaging

  • in resellable condition

Return shipping fees may apply unless the product is defective.

2.2 Defective Goods (CPA Section 56)

Customers may return defective products within 6 months for:

  • repair

  • replacement

  • or refund

Defects caused by misuse or accidental damage are excluded.


3. Digital Products (downloads, templates, scripts, PDFs)

3.1 Non-Refundable

In terms of ECTA Section 42(2)(f), downloadable or accessed digital content cannot be returned or refunded once:

  • downloaded

  • opened

  • accessed

  • viewed

  • or used in any way

Digital products are strictly non-refundable unless defective.

3.2 Defective Digital Files

If a digital file is corrupted or inaccessible, it will be replaced at no extra cost.


4. Online Courses, Memberships & Subscriptions

4.1 Recurring Billing

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
Users may cancel at any time via account dashboard.

4.2 Refunds

  • No refunds for previously billed subscription cycles.

  • No pro-rata refunds for partial months.

  • Access continues until the end of the paid period.

4.3 Course Access

Once a course has been accessed, refunds are not permitted.


5. Services (consulting, web development, custom work)

5.1 Deposits

All deposits are non-refundable unless required by law.

5.2 Cancellations

If a project is cancelled by the Client, all work completed up to the cancellation date remains billable.


6. Incorrect or Damaged Shipments

Report damaged or incorrect items within 48 hours of delivery with photos.
TrevorSphere will arrange replacement or refund where applicable.


7. How to Initiate a Return

Email hello @ trevorsphere.com with:

  • full name

  • order number

  • contact details

  • reason for return

  • photos (if defective)
